Can't go wrong at Platts. Fried, yep. Oysters, clams, crabs, mussels, Sure. Best value for fresh take-out.
Super friendly employees. They started getting really busy shortly after I got there but I was still able to get my food within 10-15 minutes. I got the low country boil personal and hushpuppies. The boil was yummy and a huge portion. The hushpuppies were average. Definitely will be back to try some more of the dinners and fish

This is the old school fish market for fresh seafood in Cherry Grove, SC. They recently added a grill where you can take your seafood to be cooked (steamed, fried, etc. and get hush puppies, slaw and other sides. Soft shelled crabs, low country boils, lunch & dinner plates.) It does stay busy but the line moves quick. They also have dry goods like fishing equipment, coolers and merch too. Check, check, check it out next time you are down on the South Carolina coast!
Get your raw seafood here. Not sure about the cooked stuff, but our jumbo shrimp were NICE!
Stopped in to pick up shrimp for a low country boil. Very fresh. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful. Was able to pick up everything I needed for the prep and cooking. For a fish market, it was very clean. You even had the option of them preparing it for you. But what fun is that.
Literally the best! There's nothing they don't have and the quality is perfection. The crab and shrimp cannot be beat! If I can find one tiny complaint, the hush puppies really seem to depend on the staff that day. Sometimes they're killer, sometimes they are close to killer. The shrimp are literally my favorite ever! The staff is so nice and accommodating. It's usually super busy but they are so efficient! The location is always clean and well stocked!
Wanted seafood to cook at home and we were not disappointed! Selections were fresh and plentiful. We bought snow crab legs, grouper, and shrimp and it was all delicious!
